At church yesterday during worship, we sang the song "Take my life and let it be." Wow. I absolutely love the raw truth that hymns speak to my heart and soul. For whatever reason, it hit me again how much my life is ALL about Christ. Nothing that I do on my own has any significance eternally. Only in God's power am I able to do anything and thru Him, the lost will be reached. It is when I totally surrender every aspect of my life--laying aside my dreams, plans, and preferences--then God can use me and bless my future far beyond my wildest dreams. These words are powerful...
Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to Thee
Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of Thy love
Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee
Take my voice and let me sing always only for my King
Take my lips and let them be filled with messages for Thee
Take my silver and my gold not a mite would I withhold
Take my love, my God I pour at Thy feet its treasure store
Take myself and I will be ever only all for Thee
